Baby Burritos

So we found out that one of our favorite places to eat, Chipotle, was giving away free burritos on Halloween if you dressed up like one. At first we weren't sure if it was just a rumor or the truth, but it was true. We went along with our friends the Pié's and our two little "baby burritos." Our babies looked cute and got us free burritos. Thanks Jacob and Isabel!

Halloween!

So I guess when people start to tell you that you need a new post it's time to put one up...thanks Cydney and big brother Dave.:) Here is Isabel's Halloween outfit. I didn't buy her one because we are cheap (I mean, not cheap...good stewards), but she did get something as a shower gift before she was born that works. She is definitely "Heaven Sent." My dad told me the other day babies speak the language of Heaven, then they live here on earth and start to forget it. I told her the other day, since you speak the language of heaven can you tell God to help you be a good girl?:) Can a two month old have a tantrum? I don't know...it's still up in the air, but I think mine can.

It was really hard to get a good picture of her wings (especially by myself), but I guess this does the job.:)

Isabel's first pictures

A couple weeks ago we had Isabel's pictures taken by a photographer from church, Lauren. She did an excellent job. We just got the final results. Here are a few for your viewing pleasure.

First Road Trip

Isabel went on her very first road trip. We went to visit one of our favorite places, Ludington, MI. It was a long trip (our usual 7 hour trip, took us 8 going and 9.5 coming back), but Isabel did great. Below are some of the people she saw/met. Also on Sunday morning we had a dedication ceremony at our home church and Isabel was dedicated.

Maasai Project - A Burden for Africa

I wanted to share with you all a burden on my heart. Back in high school I had a very good friend named Jessica (or Jess). Jess was a few years older then me and a huge role model. We ended up going to the same college, although not at the same time, but remained friends and in touch through the years. Jess ended up marrying a guy she met at college named Caleb.

Caleb and Jess now serve with Kingdom Building Ministries. Over the last several years, Caleb (with Jess' support) has been working on a project to reach a people group in Africa for Christ. I would like to share this project with you - maybe it will draw you closer to Christ, maybe it will give you a heart for the people of Africa, maybe it will give you a desire to partner with Caleb and support this project. Please view Caleb's blog to learn more about the Maasai Project (part one).

Walmart and a baby

Last night we did some grocery shopping. Isabel's car seat unfortunately doesn't fit on the top of some shopping carts like most baby car seats do, especially Walmarts. We usually try to bring the stroller too and Lee pushes that while I push the cart, but last night we forgot to bring it. So we put her seat inside the cart and shopped. In the end, Our little girl ended up being surrounded by groceries. The people outside of Walmart thought we were a little goofy taking pictures. She looked so cute though.:)

Investment

Not much longer and I will be headed back to work. Cydney will be watching Isabel while I work and I will be watching her little guy, Jacob, on the days she works. So we decided to invest in a double stroller. Here are some pictures of us testing it out to see how it works.
