Rubs...is it genetic?

Premise: Isabel calling us from her room. Lee checks on her then comes back out and says the following:

Lee: Well, she's definitely your daughter

Me: Why?

He tells me about the following conversation:

Lee: Are you having trouble falling asleep tonight?

Isabel: Yea

Lee: Do you want me to lay with you for a minute?

Isabel: Yea...can you rub my back? It feels good doesn't it?

Our days

Our days have been filled with outdoors, indoors, family, friends, food, etc. God has blessed us with two adorable little girls who are changing and growing everyday and most days are filled with the most innocent precious joy. There are other days...but we'll just skip that part.

Ana's little personality comes out everyday. She is laid back, but she can definitely be a little firecracker. She'll let you know when she isn't happy about a toy being taken away from her or if she's ready for a change of atmosphere. She just started saying, "mama." She kinda of crawls in her own way. Let's just say she can get around. Here's some of our Ana.

Isabel cracks me up everyday. I taught her a knock knock joke the other day and it was fun having her call grandma and daddy to tell it to them. She says the funniest things. The other day before leaving for Jazzercise she said, "Mommy how about you tell your teacher when you have to go potty, and I'll march (which is what she thinks I do when I'm there)." When we got back from our trip from TX she had a little potty training regression. I don't know if it's the fact I made her wear a diaper on the airplane or what, but she did. So after finally having a week of no accidents again I randomly bought her this little's Dr. kit cause I was so proud of her. She loves playing with it. Jacob was over and he was having fun with it too, taking Isabel's temperature, giving her shots, etc. Playing with her small group friend, LilyWe recently purchased a new gas grill. We're excited about the opportunity to use it many times this spring/summer. It's first test run. It worked GREAT!This is our St. Patrick's Day picture. Don't look too close, Isabel hadn't gotten wiped off yet from lunch and had pizza sauce or something all over her face still. That's how we roll sometimes.
And that's about some of our days...

Where's Isabel and Ana?

Look closely, you just might see two cute faces
The weekend seemed long as I was sick with a cold and Isabel has had a double ear infection. Because she has tubes in her ears, the infectious fluid actually drains out of her ears...it's quite gross. We took her to the Dr. on the weekend, but had to take her back for stronger medicine, yea it's that bad. It seems the draining is less today, but we'll see. Here's some random pictures from our days at home.

Bad attempt at a family picture. My arm just wasn't long enough.
Ana loves to give herself kisses when she looks in the mirror. Although she actually looks quite serious in the picture.
A fun place to watch cartoons.
If you've seen a Bug's Life, this is our princess Ana.
It's nice to be looked up to:)

Finding balance

It seems like life has been so busy. I don't know about others, but sometimes I find it so hard to balance all things in life - work, family, friends, etc all while keeping God first. I was reading in Colossians 3 today. It's all about holy living. Verse 4 says, "When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in Glory." It struck me, is Christ my life? He should be. I need him to be. I could go on, but really the whole chapter is great, so you will just have to go read it.

Speaking of balance...Isabel stacked all of these cups, her snack cup on top and all. It was starting to fall as Lee snapped the picture.
Isabel took this pictures. She LOVES taking pictures. I think we might have to follow Kate N's idea and get her a camera someday.
Who hasn't been enjoying the outdoors with this beautiful weather we've been having. Ibel and her buddy Jacob! She's looking at him like, "do I trust him?" You can see more Ibel/Jacob gator pictures on Cydney's blog.
In the midst of everything, there is always time for daddy snuggles.
This one is for Brad! See Brad you made the blog. So when your off yonder somewhere hope you see this:) We had the Spences over and had them take part in our "picture of the day." Isabel adores their girls and who wouldn't...they are so great, well-behaved, respectful...good examples for Isabel to hang around.:) Brad and Janelle we enjoyed you too;)

Bows and everyday life

While in TX my talented friend, Audrey, taught me how to make hair bows. This is one of the ones we made for Isabel. So Isabel was having clips/bows in her hair at 7 weeks old. Ana's now 7 months and I can finally get one to stay in. This one was made for Isabel so it's a bit big for her, but cute none the less. Who can resist those little teeth and big cheeks?:) I hope to be making more bows so if you want any, give me your order.:)

These are just some everyday life pictures. The girls rolling around on the floor playing. Ana's just in the last few days as started to get her knees under her...crawling soon? We'll see...We had the Pie kiddos over one evening and I thought this was cute with all of them "resting." We were rocking and laughing in the chair. Good times!

Texas

This past weekend, while Lee was gone for a trip, the girls and I spent a long weekend in TX visiting my best friend from 9th grade, Audrey, (who also happens to be Lee's cousin). It was rather ambition (crazy) to take two little ones on the airplane, but we survived and had a great time! We had many strangers help us with various tasks and we made it there and home in one piece.
All packed and ready to go. It might have been easier to pack them in the suitcase:)
Cousins Gabe (10 mo.) and Ana (7 mo.)
One day we went to a park that had this train ride. It was a fun little outing. Here the kids are waiting for the train. These are cousins Abby, Ben, Gabe.On the train. Audrey's mother-in-law, Liliana, was also visiting from Colombia, South America. It was so good to see her too. I hadn't seen her since Audrey's wedding. She is holding the baby behind the kids. The girls dressed up like Queen Ester and Ben like Mordecai to listen to the story of Queen Ester
Sunday afternoon we went to a Bizaar. Isabel could have jumped on this blow up toy ALL day!
The kids got there face painted. Our little puppy, panda, and pony (the pony was just on the cheek). SO cute!
Pony ride
Ben had his 3 year old birthday party while we were there. I thought this was an Awesome idea she had. Her husband drew a dinosaur and all the kids put their handprints to make his spikes.
