1st Baby Shower

Well, today I had my first ever baby shower. It was such a joy! We were so blessed by all the gifts we received and the fellowship I got to have. See my cheesy expression as I open my first gift:)

Back from Mexico

Okay, so it's been a while since I've written anything, but we have been in Mexico the last 10 days for work. I survived being 8 months pregnant in the heat and humidity. While there, Lee and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. It was kind of special because we had spent our honeymoon in Mexico also, so it brought back fond memories. Here is a picture of us on the balcony of our room.

So it seems like more and more everyday I'm getting ready to have this baby. Really my pregnancy has been very easy. I can't complain. I just want to meet her, hold her, know her, etc. Yesterday, I went shopping with a friend to find some maternity shorts. You would think...it's summer and the stores would carry a lot of shorts, but it was a struggle to find some, let me tell you. After going to several stores I finally found some that work. Praise the Lord!

This week is going to be extremely busy. I'm preparing for a big trip for work (leaving next Monday), we have guests coming in, a bridal shower to go to, a birthday party to go to, Lee is having some important meetings for church. WOW! I guess this fast pace will help these last couple of months before the baby comes go by.

Dishes and Laundry...Ugh!

So, I decided today...well, actually I have known it for awhile that two things I really don't like in this world are doing dishes and laundry. No matter how hard you try, no matter how much you clean, at the end of the day there are always more dirty dishes and laundry. So I say, "Ugh."

Well, several people have asked to see pictures of me prego. So here you go. This is a picture from Lee's sisters college graduation a couple of weeks ago. It's the whole family. Lee's family that is. Enjoy:) I don't especially thinks it's the greatest picture (of me that is) in the world, but...

Trying this again...

Okay, so it's been awhile since I've tried this whole blog thing. We'll have to see how it goes this time. With a baby on the way though, I know many (probably even around the world) will want to hear about what's going on with us. Plus it's been by suggested by several friends, "You know, you really need to start a blog." So here I go.

Our life for the past several weeks has been CRAZY. More and more everyday we are so thankful for the relationship we have with our Lord Jesus Christ. Without Him, we could not have survived the last several weeks. So what am I talking about "surviving?" The opening of the Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky (see the Ribbon Cutting picture above). Visit us on the web at creationmuseum.org. Haha, there's my little plug. Anyway, the Grand Opening was this past Monday, Memorial Day. It was an exciting time with over 4000 people coming the first day. Lee especially has been working many hours. I'm so proud of him and all the hard work he has put in.

Well, something else interesting/fun happened today. My friend from work passed out invitations to a baby shower for me. I knew she was going to pass them out and everything, but then it occurred to me...wow, a baby shower for me. Wow, I'm the one having a baby. Wow, the shower is for me. It was a strange, but exciting moment all at the same time.
