Haircuts
The girls both got their hair cut tonight. It was Ana's 1st hair cut. She just got her "bangs" cut. It wasn't really what we wanted, but I guess at least hair grows back. As Lee put it, "it makes her look like a boy." Oh well, most people think she's a boy anyway.

Isabel's crazy voice
I wanted to remember this moment someday in the future because it was one of those family moments that might not mean anything to anyone else, but to your family, at that moment in time, it was laughable and fun.
We were putting Isabel to bed like we do every night. We read, prayed, and then we usually sing a few songs. We were singing "This is the Day" and all of a sudden Isabel starts singing in this low crazy voice. Lee and both burst out laughing. Seeing it obviously gave her the attention she must have been looking for, she continues to sing in the same low crazy voice. I couldn't stop laughing. Lee kept telling me, "don't encourage her," but I just couldn't stop laughing. Then we finished the song. We think she was going to say, "I'm a monster," in her crazy voice, but what came out was, "I'm a man." Lee and I burst out laughing again! She had no idea what she said or why it was so funny, but we all laughed.
Here's a sample of Isabel's "normal" voice and a sample of her "crazy" voice.

Ana's 9 month check-up
17 lbs. 1 oz., 29 in. Putting her in the 20th percentile for weight and 90th for height. I'm seeing a pattern here...my girls will most likely be taller than me:)

9 months
I can't really believe that Ana is 9 months old today! My sister-in-law shared a quote with me recently, "the days are long, but the years are short." Totally seems like it. Ana has her 9 month well checkup Monday so I don't have an "stats" on her, but she is growing by leaps and bounds. Here's a few things about our Ana girl (mostly for my memories sake)She says words! She can say:
Bye, bye (and waves)
Baby
Ball
Dada/Daddy
Mama/Mommy
She wants to say something like Tucker, you can hear the syllables, but is not all the way there yet.
She can sign:
All done and ball
She's not officially crawling yet, but she's got down her army crawl. She gets up on her knees and it's like she's gonna go, but then she just sits up or decides to roll around...someday soon though.
She loves when her sister pays any type of attention to her.
She seems very uninterested in her toys and interested in pretty much anything else.
Her smile is contagious. She is the happiest girl.
People often comment on her blue eyes.
Her hair is finally staying down.
She loves music and does a little bounce when she likes a tune.
She's a great eater and I think actually likes her veggies better than fruit.
That's just little bits of life into our Ana girl.

Sweet Socks
Sweet socks...literally.:) Lee picked these up for the girls on his trip from the M&M store. Of course, Isabel only wants to wear them every moment possible:) So if you see her with green socks on that don't match her outfit, don't judge me:)

Socks
That's my girl! Isabel for some reason loves to take her socks off and put them on her hands when she is messing around (aka procrastinating) before going to bed. It's not just any socks though. It's only when she is wearing the cropped kind. Usually, she'll call us and will say something like, "mommy, this is funny huh?" I have to admit most of the time I laugh because she usually does do something funny with them. Then I take them off her hands and put them back on her feet and say, "Isabel, go to bed.":) Tonight I didn't get a call from her, but I went in to check on her (she's been have a harder time going to bed with Grandma and Papa visiting) and there she was fast asleep with her socks on her hands. I couldn't help but run and grab the camera. She was out and didn't even flinch when I took the picture, even with the bright flash.

Spring Cleaning...and more
I've been doing some spring cleaning around the house...slowly...but it's been getting done. Like today I cleaned the bathroom, and I don't mean the normal 15 min. clean...it took me well over an hour...yea it sparkles.:) Also recently, I took off our down comforter from our bed. Before I could get it folded up and put away Isabel had dragged it into the living room and was doing this...
(for Lolo and Lola)...we've been trying to teach Ana "beautiful eyes" before we go to the Philippines next month. It's something they love to teach babies there. She's finally got the hang of it, but have yet to capture it on film...so here's an attempt, but you can see she had other things in mind...still a cute video. Oh yea, ignore the big pile of laundry in the background...clean laundry, just not put away yet:)
We've also been enjoying our new grill so much!!! Recently we tried Pizza on the grill. Yum! We haven't perfected it yet, but I'm sure we will make many more attempts. And kabobs...come on...so good!

One last picture because I think it is hilarious. We've been working on Isabel eating/liking broccoli for I don't know how long. If it was served at a meal she had to at least try one bite of it. Last week when we had our Easter dinner she picked up a piece of broccoli (whole piece) and popped it right in her mouth. She even said she'd liked it. Here's proof.
