It's about time...Seattle!

It's about time for a blog update...well, we've been busy, very busy, and away.

We had an amazing week in Seattle celebrating Lee's sister, Martha, wedding and seeing lots of close family and friends! The girls did incredible with late bedtimes and short naps (pretty much wherever we were), but we also had help from the many relatives that surrounded us. I must admit we were surprised how cold Seattle was. We knew it would be in the 50s, but mommy didn't quite pack right. Oh well, we survived and with a few new hats we purchased on the rei clearance rack, we made it through the week. And we were blessed with a few days (ok two) of sunshine.

A highlight was having Lee's parents there. We had not seen them for nearly a year. Our first day there we did SO many things, partly to keep Lolo and Lola awake who had just made the trip over from the Philippines and were battling jet lag. We explored Pike Place Market, went to Beecher's cheese factory, saw the first Starbucks, and visited the famous gum wall. We also visited Mart's work, a coffee shop downtown. The Space Needle was only blocks from our hotel, so we walked there a few times or past it on different occasions. This is the view from the top of Mart's apartment building. Pretty cool.

The rest of the week we enjoyed fellowship with the various family members who arrived into town as well as helping with wedding preparations. We had a very special dinner with some special friends at their home and a few of the cousins got to be reunited. All the cousins put on "shows" for the bride and groom. I believe they consisted of a car show, a train show, and I'm not quite sure what else. Very cute though. Other highlights were visiting the Seattle Aquarium (with the quite the bunch as you can see), with even more cousins, and holding a surprise bridal shower for Mart. I planned the shower from here and was pleased with the restaurant. As you can see the view was beautiful.
Great Grandma Frances and Ana made a special bond at the rehearsal dinner. Ana was being both a ham and a pill bug that evening!
Then of course, there was the wedding! It was beautiful! And we are so excited to have our new brother-in-law, Austin, as part of our family. Congratulations you two!!!
The cousins at the wedding looking adorable...
Uncle Will with Isabel and her cucumber tongue...following daddy's example of course...
The rest of our time there we did some more sight seeing and more time with family. We found this park with the International Fountain on one of the most pretty days we had while there. It was such a fun place. The fountain played to music and would change how it sprayed and then would every now and then shoot about 100 feet up in the air and make a big BOOM. I can see how this place in the summer would be packed. We also had the opportunity to visit with some of Lee's friends from Moody who drove a few hours just to see us! It was a fun evening of fellowship with Zach and Dawn! Maybe we'll do it again in another 7 years!:)
I could post a billion more pictures, but these are just some highlights (you can look at fb to see more if you really want to). The whole trip was really a blessing and we will have many memories for years to come.

I have much more to post, including a visit with Lee's parents here in KY and of course our ultrasound results, but that will have to wait until another day!

Tomorrow we celebrate our RISEN Savior! He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!!!
