Our getaway...

Several years ago we were given a gift certificate for a night's stay at the Richwood Plantation, and we are so thankful we finally got the opportunity to use it! We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary, which is actually on the 19th, but because the inn is so popular we went on a week night (we actually had the whole house to ourselves). The best part...our gracious, loving friends, took our kids for the night, and other great friends took care of our Tucker-dog. We had such a wonderful time! We reflected on the past 7 years. Lee even said he would marry me again, which we TRIED to do, but no one showed up for our wedding (see picture below):) We stayed in the McKinley suite, which was once stayed in by President McKinley. It was all very lovely! We went out and had a delicious dinner in downtown Madison, IN at the Bistro One (Lee says it's the best shrimp he's ever had) and just took our time and walked around town. When we returned to the inn we took some pictures together, showcasing Jelly Belly, and just had fun goofing around.

The only sad part was when we got an urgent call from my parents saying my Uncle Ron (dad's brother) had passed away. It was a pretty emotional time for awhile, but as we reflected we knew, knowing my Uncle he would have wanted us to have a fun time together and enjoy ourselves, so we tried to as much as we could, even while thinking and praying for our family affected by his loss.

Again, I am so thankful for my loving husband who has stuck it out with me this long! I love you more everyday Lee!
